Ten years ago, McGraw-Hill pulled out of the Construction Publishing Polly Emmons
business and as a result, my career path was about to switch into Editor and
overdrive. I got a call from Larry Bell who said, “Let’s pick up where
McGraw-Hill left off, and start our own magazine.” And that’s when Creative Director
Colorado Construction and Design (CCD) magazine was created. Shortly Prepress Production
thereafter, Michael Gifford asked to be a part of our magazine, giving us Layout and Design
a “jump start” putting CCD Magazine on the map!

Here we are, 10 years later, celebrating our partnership with AGC
Colorado who helped us win The Marketing Excellence Award from Sean O’keefe
SMPS Colorado, for Best Magazine. In return, we’ve helped AGC Colorado Contributing Writer
win multiple awards for Chapter Membership growth. It’s a great
partnership and one that we value tremendously.

Once again, we’re proud to present another edition of INSIDE AGC The Unfound Door
Colorado, the AGC Colorado Annual Report, capturing AGC’s year in Photography
review, the 2019 ACE Awards and a 2020 Outlook. Each year, the CCD
Fall-Winter issue doubles as the AGC Colorado Annual Report. In just a Nancy O. Branigan
few months, CCD will also publish the AGC Colorado Member Directory.
This AGC Colorado construction directory is a great resource showing Accounting and
the names of Colorado’s leading contractors, suppliers and industry Administration
associates helping to build the great state of Colorado.

AGC members, please keep your eyes open for more about the upcoming Publication Printers
